In 2002, the decision was made to start a Men's League at my home course, the Brantford Golf & Country Club. The introduction of a team format helped to increase the interest level in the golf but there was something missing. The issue was that our members wanted to know how their team and friends had fared but the finalizing and posting of the scores took hours and the earliest we were able to post the results was the next day. We decided the solution was to make the information available as soon as was humanly possible and in 2004, we introduced live scoring. The change was both immediate and extraordinary. The excitement level went through the roof and traffic in the lounge has increased beyond capacity. In addition to providing your league with actual live scoring, our system offers the opportunity for you to update your participants through weekly editorials on your own league website. Your site also provides you with an area to display sponsorship or advertising information enabling you to create revenue for your league.

As players finish, they turn in their cards and the Pro Shop or Office enters the scores into the system. The information is immediately displayed on the scoring section of your website and, through a simple Ethernet connection, live scoring is broadcast on the televisions in your lounge. The team scores, individual accomplishments and overall standings change many, many times throughout the day making for some very entertaining viewing by the members. Because the program is web based, members that are unable to play or those that plan on playing later in the day are able to check the site and actually see how their team and friends are playing! To view the live scoring just click on the LIVE SCORING tab near the top of the page. You can view it as a web page or see it exactly as it will look on your TV. When using TV OUTPUT pictures of the golf course are visible behind the scoring information making for a very professional and engaging presentation. Perhaps best of all there is no manual scoring - the program updates individual and team scores, low net, low gross, who beat the pro, overall standings, is suitable for both gross and net players, 9 or 18 hole scores and automatically adjusts and applies a separate league handicap! As you know, even the suggestion of handicap improprieties can ruin an event.
