Men’s Night 2009

 

Men’s Committee - Captain Vic Mote, Terry Thompson, Jim Symons, Scott McLaughlin, Murray Breen, Howie Brown, John Wierenga, Richard Burwash, Rob Mason.

Men’s Night 2009 for the Jamieson Hilts Cup.

Yearly Fee: $25.00     Weekly Fee: $5.00 each week you play.

 

Prizes:

All prizes are in Pro Shop Credit excluding the Closing Night draw prizes.  That now includes merchandise, guest fees and cart fees.

 

Important Dates:

Draft Night - Thursday May 21

First Night of Competition - May 28

Final Prize Night and Swatfest - August 27

 

Tees: Tournament tees.

Format:

Regular season play only – no playoffs this year.  Match play competition ie. Team 1 vs. Team 2, etc. Combination of gross and net scores determine team score(based on registration) Number of scores to count will equal approx. 40% of team members.

If your score does not count, you are in the UB (Useless Bastard) category.  Everytime you are a Top 5 player in this category (Most Useless Bastard), your name goes into a draw for 3 free golf lessons for next season.

 

Beat the Pro:

Each week members of the Pro Shop staff will play and post a low gross score to beat. If you beat the low gross pro shop score, your name will be entered into a draw for a season ending prize.

 

Hole In One Competition:

This year, the existing pot from #3 and #9 has been combined into one contest on #9.  From each $5.00 entry fee, $.50 is added to the pot every week.  The pot to start 2009 is $948.00.  First hole in one on #9 that day wins.

 

Weekly Contests:

*  Closest to the Pin on #3 and #6 each week wins $25.00

 

Weekly Team Prize

*  1st Low Team Score - $25.00 per player. 

*  2nd Low Team Score - $15.00 per player. 

Players must have played that night to be eligible.

Year End Prizes

Year-end prizes will be awarded at the Swatfest.

1st Place Team - $100 per player

2nd Place Team - $50 per player

3rd Place Team - $25 per player

Winners may exchange one of these certificates for their pick of the prize table.  In addition, those with attendance of either perfect, or missing up to 2 nights are put into one draw. All names in that draw are pulled for a pick of the prize table.  Those with yearly attendance that missed 3 or 4 weeks are in the 2nd draw.  Those who attended 3 weeks or less go into the final draw. The goal is to have a prize for each player this year.

Play Dates Are As Follows...

May 28, June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25,  July 2, July 9, July 16 - no event, July 23, July 30, August 6, August 13, August 20 - Swatfest 27th.  (12 weeks)

well hello my fellow team members and congrats to us for winning week 1.thanks for all of you that showed up and those that don,t you better get your as--- in gear and make a valliant effort to show up no matter how bad you play ...also i do accept a beer from all my team members as i probably drafted you 1st over all ok ...see ya on the course ...

Thought I better also weigh into this conversation (and I weigh in very heavily). Couple comments, one for Ben (Slippery) Fuschino, apparently there is already some dissent on this team as I overheard Bill Knott requesting a trade. The other is for Adam Hagen as he pulled his team 8 into a tie with our team with a very late, late, late score of 35 to pull his team into a tie. Last year when he was on my team he never really seem to show up until the back nine on thursdays. Thanks to my team #1 so far as I have now won twice as much $ this year as I did all last year.
