Welcome to the Men's Night 2012 Season
May 22, 2012 | Posted by Glenn LemanWeek 1Hello All ! Welcome to the 2012 Elmira Golf Club Men's day! The story for Week 1 was most definitely the WIND!! We had a total of 76 participants this week (86% participation rate) and our Gross Scoring Average was extremely high...45.59! The foursome I was playing with managed to post a total of 28 strokes for the 2nd Hole and a couple of us were very grateful for the "triple bogey maximum score rule"!! Names that made the dreaded Most Useless Bastards List included: Jeff Scott, Bill Duffield, Neil Schmidt, Jeff Baker and Mike Teeter. A new feature added to the scoring system for this year is the option to play the Black and White tees. The ratings for our three tee options were forwarded to golfscoring.net in April and we have made the default setting the Blue Tees. Please indicate on your scorecard if you have played the Black/White tees so golf shop staff can correctly input your score and have the correct rating applied. The criteria for playing the White tees will be posted on the golf shop counter each week, should you have any questions regarding this option please do not hesitate to ask myself or Jeremy or a member of the Mens Games Committee (Kevin Martin, Jeff Legault, Jim Laidley). We will hope for calmer conditions this Wednesday! G.

Here is a quick look at today's match ups... Bud Light vs. Bud Light Lime Budweiser vs. Labatt's Genuine Draft Labatt's Blue vs. Keith's Amber Red Keith's Premium White vs. Keith's India Pale Ale
You know the game, boys. The teams that win their weekly match earn 10 points, losers get 0 points and in the case of tie, each team earns 5 points but, and this is important, in addition to these points, teams earn one (1) additional participation point for each player that posts a score. The more often you play, the more you help the team!
Play well,
Glen
