Welcome to the 2010 Wednesday Foxwood Men's League!  We are excited to announce that we will be again using the scoring system specifically designed for Foxwood.  Thanks to this unique web based program players can track their individual and team performance and we now have the ability to display live scoring on the club TV’s!

     The idea behind the program is simple... the more you play - the better it is for you and your team.  Teams will do battle in a season-long round robin with the winners of each weekly match earning 10 points, 5 points per team if there is a tie and 0 for teams that lose.  The most important aspect of the scoring is participation - teams receive 1 point for each participant regardless of their performance as long as they reach the minimum number of players required to post a team score. Those that don't count toward the team total can almost assuredly count on being singled out, ridiculed and suitably labeled a Useless Sandbagger on both the TV and in this very space.  They will, however, earn a valuable participation point and, of course, they can always step it up and count the following week.

     One of the highlights of the program is the actual real-time scoring.  As the Pro Shop staff enter scores throughout the day the standings, individual results and Team vs. Team information is updated in real-time on the Internet.  Guys who aren't able to play that week or those poor souls stranded at the office until later in the day can log onto the site (www.golfscoring.net/foxwood) to see how their team is doing - We encourage everyone to save this website address into your "favorites" file.  Another bonus is the program actually maintains a separate Men's Night handicap so there is no need to worry about each team being balanced with an equal number of liars, lowlifes, sandbaggers and cheats.  That, my friends, is pretty damn good.

2010 League Rules:

1.       No Gimmies

2.       We will all tee off the Silver Tee Blocks

3.       Your Handicap is based off of your Men’s Night Scores

4.       Out of bounds is always Red Stake “ Drop 2 club lengths from point of entry, no closer to the hole”

5.       Everyone will play the same 9 each week.  The 9 will be posted in the Pro Shop on Wednesday morning.

6.       You may tip up the ball 6 inches either way, but if you are in the rough you must stay in the rough.  The same goes for if you are in the bunker, wood chips or long grass.

7.        50% of Field must finish there round for the week to count.

1.       2 Closest to the Pin = $10.00

2.       3 Low Net “ Based on Participation “

3.       3 Low Gross “ Based on Participation “

4.       Winning Team will receive a sleeve of Pro V1’s each week.  “ You must play to receive your sleeve of Balls “
