Welcome to the Men's Night 2012 Season
May 24, 2012 | Posted by Shane GrahamFirst Week In The Books! Here we go again. As I sit down to write my first "official" blog of the 2012 season I find it hard to believe that we are venturing into our 4th season with the new Men’s League Scoring system. We've come a long way in a short time and this year we once again are breaking attendance records. With 126 players signed up and ready to give it all, this promises to be an exciting year. I must say that I am looking forward to this season. Congratulations to all of you and thanks for making our first night such a great success. When all was said and done we have Shooting Blanks and Red Hot Chilli Dippers at the top of the Standings. Remember, teams earn 10 points for winning their weekly match but the team also gets1 additional point for every player who turns in a score. The more often you play the better it is for your team. Just so we're clear; your team score is determined by the total of the two (2) lowest gross scores and the four (5) lowest net scores posted by the guys on your roster. By the way, we're still accepting players so please speak to Shane, Lauren or Whitney if you'd like to get in on the fun. I hope you’ll take the time to look around the site. When you find your name I suggest you click on it. When you do, an Interesting Statistics box will open displaying a detailed synopsis of your league performance for the season, your league handicap and a notice of any money you’ve won. As far as handicaps, that's another cool feature; each player was entered into the system with their current 18-hole handicap. The system then cuts it in half because our league is based on 9-holes. From here on out, your league handicap is calculated using only your league scores. P.S. For the men who keep asking what Cunning linguist team name means: “The combination of the word cunning and linguist which defines a person who has a “gift for tongues”, specifically as applied to the art of performing oral sex on a women.”
