Well, a year has passed and here we go again, your blogger!!!.......This season sees many changes, for one...HOT!!!... another is the participation factor, here is a rough synopsis.  Last season the Men's Night League had 160 participants, however, 20 of those members are no longer with Galt Country Club, leaving 140.  Of the 140 remaining players 22 players opted not to join the league this year, leaving 118.  We currently have 135 players registered for 2010.......so if you take the rate of gravity, multiply that by PI and subtract the average weight of the dung beetle, you should deduce that there are 17 new and eager members of Men's Night.  On behalf of Galt Country Club, I would like to officially welcome them to the best event at the club!!  Team captains this year include 7 veteran members; Hank Nykamp,Jim Robinson,Greg Goad,Jim Deighan,Ralph Neil, Murray Garlick & Marty Myska and 3 young guns; Jeremy Goetz,Dan Brewer& Ryan Prince. 

NOTES:

We are in the process of selecting the team shirts. 

We have a 10 week regular season that runs to August 11th. 

We will not play on June 23rd(Men's Member/Guest) or August 4th(Wednesday after long weekend)

The 3 playoff weeks will run September 1st,8th,15th

(Wednesday August 18th - (Men's Pro-Member) & Wednesday August 25th - (Canadian Seniors)

We have Molson's on board this year as our sponsor and we will have a bus trip to The Club at North Halton at the end of the season.  The participants will be made up of the Closest to the Bubba winners plus a captain's pick from each team.  Here we go with the math again...lol......13 winners + 10 picks + 1(some unfair version pick) = 24

We are also arranging a bus trip on August 25th to a course to be determined......stay tuned.

Members should be able to access this web site from a link under GOLF on the club website by Friday.

Well, I think that is all the pertinent info for now, keep checking in for updates.

Now for the important stuff!!.....who won what?....how do I win?....what do you get?......

Each week the top three team scores(that would be the lowest team scores made up of the 2 low gross & 4 low nets) will split $450 dollars in shop credit.  (1st place - $200, 2nd place $150 & 3rd place $100)

The money will be split evenly(more or less) between the players on each team that participated that day(excluding staff & pros)

Each specialty prize winner(Low Gross/Low Net/Most Usless Bastard or High Net/CTP(2), will receive $20 in shop credit.

Each week, any player that beats the lowest golf professional( Rob Moore,Greg Thacker,Brent Noels,Mike Switzer or Dave Anthony) with their "Gross" score for the nine, receives a free drink ticket for any Molson beer product sold at the club.

All shop credits will be listed in the "Money List" shown on the right side of the main page of this web site.

The first week saw 119 players out of 135 post scores....WELL DONE!!!!!
