Welcome to the Men's Night 2011-2 Season

2011 Men's Night - Second Half

Jul 17, 2011 | Posted by Pro Shop

Welcome to the second half of the 2011 Men's Night Season.  Congratulations to the Lip Outs for finishing on top of the Standings for the first half.  You can view the results and statistics from the first half here...

Like last year, the first half of the 2011 season was contested in a Team vs. Team format.  Just for a change, we'll be switching to a Medal Play format for the second half.  With the Medal Play format teams will be competing against the entire field rather than against a specific team.  Teams will earn Performance Points based on where they finish on the Leaderboard each week.

Here are the Performance Point values...

1st   -  14 Points,

2nd  -  12 Points,

3rd   -  10 Points,

4th    -   8 Points,

5th    -   6 Points,

6th    -   4 Points,

7th    -   2 Points

Like always, Participation Points will be added to the Performance Points to determine your team's place in the Standings.

Play Well,

Look out next year, I'm coming. A wise team will pick me up.

Just a few comments on the Reloads. I have never seen such a skilled group of athletes on one team at one time. It is almost not fair that we were allowed to assemble a group of assassins as good as Doctor "Death", Knegt, Marko, Morris, Lowe and Robinson. I predict a land slide victory for us this second half. Denner your team may as well all play from the forward tees and drink the drinks with umbrellas in them because you dont stand a chance. Till we beat you Captain Simkins and the Assassins(or reloads whatever you want to call us)

Can you believe the arrogance of Simkins. The Fourjacks are a shoe-in for the title. Trying to match the skill and savvy veterans on this time will prove to be an exercise in futility for all pretenders. Moore, Sather, Young leading off this group is enough to strike fear in even the bravest of souls. After that Tall Paul, and Tall Steve, will tower over their opposition. Then comes The Wheel, Martini and the King to finish it off. Sorry guys, but it looks like a long year for all you pretenders

Well, it's only hours now 'till the great awakening....by that I mean, Davey-boy, that you and the rest of your team should begin preparation of their " I gave it a good shot, but finished second" speeches. As far as the rest of the field is concerned, show up, drink up and save your energy for more light-hearted pursuits........see you tonite.

Hello gents, isnt it funny how we havent heard from mr young in a long time on here? Now i know his team was humiliated in the first half of the mens night season at tgcc, but to just go into hiding after such a defeat is not very gentleman like, denner, if you missed the autograph session that we (the yips) provided after our brilliant triump, im sure if you brought a couple of drinks over to the boys they would be more than happy to sign your shirt or a couple golf balls for ya!! Thats what the "yips" are all about ,"Class".

Denner word has it you are now playing from the up tees.A few of the Lady members were wondering if they could play with you.? Maybe some of your team mates that have umbrellas in their drinks could join you. Your team is like our little sister,we will show you the ropes.....maybe even buy you a hot dog.

This is unbelievable.......I put the boots to Too Much just the other day and he has the nerve to even suggest that he is going to be a factor for his team of losers.........and as for the Thrill....get a good grip on your senses, man. I know I mentioned that I wanted to try out for the front tees BUT not until next year thus as a result I will still kick your ass and I'm at least 50 years older than you...as far as a hotdog is concerned.the only hotdog I know is you. Further, you forget who sets the handicaps for Florida, always keep this fact in mind when you choose to malign a member of the league winning 4 Jacks. That's all I have to say until I think of something else.

Just noticed that some teams have 7 players while others have 8. Should participation points not be capped at 7 since those teams with 7 will potentially lose a point to each of the teams with 8 players every week?

Well Chirp, it looks like the war is on again.....not for first place by any means (as yet) but for bragging rights as to which of our teams is superior........I think you likely know the answer but let me spell it out...I-T--A-I-N-'-T Y-O-U
