To Brenden and the guys who do all the work, thank you. I loved the format and, now that we understand how the thing works, it should be even bigger and better next year. Good job.

16 Down, one to go....

Sep 15, 2008 | Posted by Brenden Parsons

Week 16 in the books.  And a familiar face, the Fore-nicators came out on top.

Taking full advantage of the playoff points system, the Fore-nicators now sit in 2nd place.  With one week to go, it's going to be a shootout for the win, as the most points are available yet, and the Hack and Slashers are going to mount a charge to regain their former glory.  The Snap Hookers are clinging to the pack and need a solid week to get into the money.

In Pool B, things are even tighter, that is for the three teams that have scored points in the playoffs.  The Ball Movements have not been eliminated, they just simply have not scored a point to update their totals onto the standings.  A total of 8 points is all that separates places 1 through 3 in Pool B.  It is truly going to be a shootout next week, that is, if anyone from those teams play??!!

For the second time this year, shockingly, the low gross winner was also the low net winner.  Firing a blistering 34 on the Millennium was Wilf Genzle.  Who captured $38 for his efforts.

This is it!  This is the final night this week.  You should be receiving information from your captains regarding Thursday.  Remember, you've already paid for dinner, and if you want to win the draw for the Hole-in-One money, you have to be here.

Good Luck.  Let's close it out in style!

Men's Night Finale Banquet

Sep 11, 2008 | Posted by Brenden Parsons

Hi Guys,

Please sign up in the pro shop for the Men's Night Finale Banquet.  Your $20 entry fee into the league covered the cost of your dinner, so as long as you've paid your $20 - it's free.

Events for that night:

- Presentation of End of Year Prize Money for both Pool A and Pool B
- Assuming no one has a hole in one this week or next, we will be raffling off the Hole-In-One Fund.  You must be in attendance to win!
- Mystery Prize Draw.  We will be raffling off a secret prize that all players are intered in.  For each time you have played this year, you will receive a ballot.  Therefore the players that supported the event every week will have a better chance of winning.  You will want to be here for this, however, you don't have to be in attendance to win.

To allow all of the players to finish their nine, the dinner will begin at 8 pm.

Please remember that each week, the playoff points increase.  The winning team in each pool for the last week receives 30 points, plus the participation points!

Week 1 of the Playoffs in the books..

Sep 5, 2008 | Posted by Brenden Parsons

Week 1 of the playoffs is complete, and a familiar team came out victorious.

The Forenicators, once kings of the league, took advantage of the added points available, and almost caught the fine group of players known as the Hack and Slashers.

3 Guys fired a blistering 35 last night - Wilf Genzle, Rob Hollinger, and Paul Bartman.  Word on the street says that Mr. Bartman could've been really low, if he could only putt.

Low Sandbagger of the night must be taking notes from our favorite sandbagger and rattled off a 31.  Justin Loube was the big money winner as he helped his team take the victory with a total of 28 points.

Remember, next weeks points go up by 25%.  So it is possible to catch the teams ahead of you and take home a large chunk of the $2000 purse!!!

Anyone seen the guys on the Ball Movements, or the Eagle Maniacs????
