END OF A GREAT SEASONSep 24, 2009 | Posted by Judy BinghamCongratulations tio all the teams for a great first year of the New Ladies Day format! A few things to iron out for the 2010 season but all and all nothing but positive feedback from everyone - I certainly enjoyed it. The Pot of Gold was finally won by none other than Cathy Murray, after yours truly showed her the way. Amazing putt Cathy and her total winnings for the year increased to $940.00. The overall winners for the season were Chicks with Sticks (173), Have You Seen My Birdie (168) and my team Double D's with 165 - way to go team! Participation really is the key. Looking forward to the Closing Dinner on October 1st- our grand finale with many more prizes and trophies to be awarded. See you all then. Judy Bingham

JULY ENDS ON A HIGH NOTE

July came to a close far too quickly but with beautiful weather for us last week. The participation has been very encouraging with 63 women entering their scores. I am sure those scores were much better than the week before when we were trying to get our game finished in between the showers. Hopefully August will be much kinder to us all.
There is a tie for 1st place overall at the moment between Mine that Birdie and Have You Seen My Birdie with a score of 104! Chicks with Sticks are i hot pursuit with 101 and Double D's aren't far behind with a score of 96.
Congratulations to Bev Maranger and Carolyn Rae for achieving LOW NET (31) and to Jan Shepherd and Diane Hernden for 2nd LOW NET (32).
You will not want to miss out attending August 6th because the Putt Off will be for $600.00. A note to Eunice Burrill - your name has been called twice and you have gone home early!!!
Good luck to everyone playing in the Edna Mavity Senior Ladies Club Championship on August 6th.

Another fun night filled with friendship and laughter. I hope you are all enjoying the new format as much as I am.
Congratulations to Kelly Ford-Dulson for her low net score of 26, WOW! Keep up the good play (your husband asked me to say that). Jane Landreth and Libby Miller tied for second with 27. Closest to the pin on #4 was Cathie Riddell and on #8 was yours truly. Eunice Burrill was the lucky winner of the 50/50 draw.
Sharon Thoms, Doris Neeb, Nancy Scott, Beth Walker and Kelly Ford-Dulson took a shot at the $375 pot of gold. Unfortunately for them no putts found their way into the hole. Next week will see $375.00 up for grabs.
Dave is going to give a mid -season ladies day update next week, so have any questions ready.

Again, a wonderful time had by all. All I am hearing is positive remarks about the new format. Congrats to Rose Yantzi for low net - Way to Go! Also to Cathy Murray (2nd low net) and closest to the pin goes to Heather Galloway. That Pot of Gold just keeps getting bigger and bigger - don't miss out on Thursday at 8:15 pm being one of the five potential winners of $225.00 - stores here i come! Maybe a new pair of golf shoes?? Thanks to our team for 100 % participation. Quite the race happening for 1st between MIne that Birdie and Seen that Birdie. Could be some major cheering happening this Thursday.
