The 2011 Men's League Playoffs Begin Thursday September 8th! 

     The structure of the 2011 Men's League playoffs resembles the PGA's FedExCup format, yet is still accompanied by the usual participation points (i.e., one point for each team member who participates).  If you are unfamiliar with the PGA's FedExCup format, you might be mistaken for a member of the PGA Tour, given that none of those fellows when interviewed on television seem to have an understanding of that format's inner workings.  Simply stated, we've established two pools (A and B).  The top five (5) teams in the Standings have been placed lovingly into Pool A while the next five (5) have been jammed roughly into Pool B.   For the next four sessions (beginning Sept. 8th) each team competes against the other teams in their Pool for a piece of the weekly purse, which is represented by points. The lower your team's score, the more points your team will earn for that particular week.  It is not, as they often say, rocket science, unless one is, in fact, a rocket scientist employed by NASA.

Q: What happens to the points my team earned during the regular season?

A: Teams start the playoffs with exactly the same number of points
they earned during the regular season. 


Q: How are the points distributed during the playoffs?

1st...     25 Points
2nd...    13 Points
3rd...      9 Points
4th...      6 Points
5th...      4 Points


IMPORTANT: The points will increase for each week of the playoffs!


Q: Will participation still count?

A: Absolutely! Participation points will be added to the points each team
earns.



Q: How long will the playoffs run?

A: The playoffs will run for four weeks.  September 8th, September 15th, 
September 22nd and September 29th.
