As noted this evening there are opportunities for our members to invest in Stephane as he moves down this path. These opportunities can be explored in greater detail at the following website:
We all wish Stephane the best of luck as he embarks on his career. ![]() Sep 17, 2015 | Affiché par A Truly Dispirited Blogger Whose Team Finished Well Back in the PackThat's All She Wrote, Folks...
It's a testament to the character of the players and the quality of the league that we had such a great turnout for the last Men's Night of the season. It was inspiring to so many guys battling to help their team. On behalf of every league member I want to thank John Horan and his Committee (Joe McPherson, Lou D'Amato, Dan Poort) for all of their hard work again this year. Once again, the league was an unqualified success both on the golf course and in the club house. As the accompanying image suggests, the 2015 Men's Night season has come to an end. Congratulations to our undisputed champions, the Blazing 777's. You have to give Rob Grinton and his gang some credit; they had the best win/loss record during the regular season and when it looked like the Weapons might make a move in the playoffs, they stepped up and finished T1 in their division. It was a solid performance all year. Here are the members of this year's Men's Night Championship team; Every one of these

League Blogger ![]() Sep 10, 2015 | Affiché par An Unauthorized League Blogger2nd Week of the Playoffs Complete! We're two weeks in to the 3-week playoffs. Here are the facts; * The Weapons of Grass Destruction are destroying everything in their path. They've been the low team for both playoff weeks and have bagged enough points to slide into contention for the overall championship. This week they were strong on the gross side with a 37 (Nicholls), 38 (Poort) and 40 (Pollinger) and Captain Matt Hendrie came in late with a net 31 that included two net eagles (2 on # 2 and a 2 on # 9) which earned the sandbagging scoundrel a cool $220 in Skins. The no good bastards have also built a considerable lead in the Calcutta which gives us even more reason to hate them. * The Wednesday Wannabees are going the other way. They finished DFL in both playoff weeks which means that Captain Shanny and his first mate Doc Greenfield are headed straight for Davey Jones Locker. * In the Consolation Division, the Step Dads are clinging to a slim 8 point lead. They'll need a strong performance next week if they hope to fend off the aptly named Sand Blasters who have found some new life in the post season. * Please bear in mind that the points increase for each week of the playoffs so there is still plenty of opportunity to move up the board.

Of course this competition is separate from the regular standings and entering the playoff weeks all teams are even for the purposes of the Calcutta game. This also means that we have three weeks remaining before we finalize the twelve positions for the Men's League Inter club Team for this annual competition to be held this year on Thursday October 1st at Westmount. At present time the following 12 Men's League Participants hold these coveted positions: The four low gross players at this time are: Stephane Dubois Ryan Greenfield George Kosch Bob Herron The eight low net players at this time are: David Bradshaw Ron Davey Dave Taylor Enes Medanhodzic Mike Galvin Scott Malcolm Jim Speelziek Henry Doherty
Be sure to check the Low Gross (golfscoring.net/brantford/mens/2015/lowgross-average) and Low Net (golfscoring.net/brantford/mens/2015/lownet-average) Scoring Average pages on the Men's League Website to see how your scoring average compares to those above and how close you are to moving up to one of these coveted positions. Based on prior years the qualifiers changed right down to the final week of our league competition so play well and track how your average score stacks up with others in our league. We have had a great season to this point so lets all get out and play our 9 holes over the remaining weeks and do your part to put your team into the winners circle or at a minimum improve your personal position for year end prizes. Look forward to seeing people in the Men's Lounge tomorrow evening as the results roll in and on Wednesday September 23rd for the annual Closing Event (3:00 shotgun start), skills competition and cocktails following on course activity and wrapping up with our Closing Dinner in the Clubhouse.
Good luck to all. ![]() Mindless Meanderings From a Confirmed UBJun 24, 2015 | Affiché par An Authour to be Named LaterVisionné lEntrée |
