Playoff Format:

In past years the Men's League Playoffs have run over a three week span as a team vs team format, where regular season determined which teams played each other (1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5).  This format would involve the winning teams going on to play each other in the 'Championship Bracket' and the losing teams facing off on the 'Consolation Bracket'.  We have decided to change this idea and run it as a FedEx style format.  Over the next three weeks, your team will not just be playing against another individual team, but instead you will be facing off against the entire field.  Team scores during the playoffs will be determined the same way as regular season (2 Gross Scores, 5 Net Scores).  There will be a playoff point distribution based on how your team finishes against the other teams in the field.  We have used a very similar format to that of the PGA FedEx Cup, but have made the points relative to the regular season and instead of a four week span ours is three.  The points you received as a team during the regular season will carry-over to the playoffs.  The first two weeks of playoffs will have the same set point distribution and the final week (our equivalence to the "Tour Championship") the points will be increased.  There will be NO points awarded for team participation (during regular season teams were awarded up to a maximum of 9 participation points per week to their team total).  During the playoffs, individual prizes will be the same as the regular season (Low Gross, Low Net, Closest to the Pins).

Playoff Point Distribution for first two weeks of playoffs - September 18 & 25:

1.  250 points

2.  150 points

3.  100 points

4.  75 points

5.  55 points

6.  50 points

7.  45 points

8.  40 points

Playoff Point Distribution for our "Men's League Championship" - October 2:

1.  250 points

2.  225 points

3.  200 points

4.  180 points

5.  160 points

6.  140 points

7.  120 points

8.  100 points

The winner of the 2013 Foxwood Men's League will be the team who accumulates the most points over the three week playoff series, plus the points achieved through regular season.

Good luck to all teams during the 2013 Foxwood Men's League Playoffs!
